YouTube Video Zoomer is a Chrome extension that helps users zoom and pan fullscreen web videos. It runs locally in the user’s browser.
Data Collection
YouTube Video Zoomer does not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal data to the developer or any third-party analytics service.
The extension does not:
- Track browsing history.
- Read account information.
- Record video content.
- Send usage data to any developer server.
- Use analytics, advertising trackers, remote logging, or remote code.
Local Settings
YouTube Video Zoomer uses Chrome storage only to save local preferences, such as:
- Shortcut modifier.
- Language.
- Zoom speed.
- Maximum zoom level.
These settings stay in Chrome storage and are used only to make the extension behave consistently.
How Video Pages Are Used
The extension runs as a content script so it can detect fullscreen video elements and apply zoom or pan behavior when the user interacts with fullscreen playback.
The extension does not extract, store, record, or transmit page content or video content.
Permissions
YouTube Video Zoomer requests limited permissions:
storage: saves local extension preferences.- Content script access: allows the zoom and pan controls to run on pages that contain fullscreen videos.
Remote Code
YouTube Video Zoomer does not use remote code. All extension code is included in the extension package.
Donations
YouTube Video Zoomer may include optional donation links, such as PayPal.Me, for users who want to support development. Donations are voluntary and are not required for any feature. Payment information is handled by the external payment provider and is not processed by YouTube Video Zoomer.
User Control
Users can clear extension data at any time by removing the extension, clearing Chrome extension storage, or clearing site data from the browser.
